Well, welcome to you, too, th3alchemist.   Should we call you alchemist, or do you prefer something else?   What part of Europe are you in?   You're new here, but do you have any experience with metal detectors?   You say you want to learn about "How to find a treasure", that covers a lot of ground.  Is there any particular field that you are especially interested in learning about (selecting or building a good machine, researching leads, search techniques, etc) or is it all equally important at this point?

Ask questions and feel free to contribute.   That and using the search function at the top of the page are two of the best ways to learn on this site.

Regards,

BA

Hello BitburgAggie_7377 and thank you for your kindest. I am from Bulgaria (eastern europe) and I do not own a metal detector. To be more specific I am trying to find a family treasure on a village house (about 1000 m2). I used a small metal detector, a Quattro MP, but for sure is not what I need. I expect the target should be at 2-4 meters. Again thank you for the warm wellcome!

Hello Figgy. Yes the first owner of the house was my grandfather since 1950. He passed away in 1990, and kept the secret of the hidden goods.

Did your grandfather have any favorite book or piece of furniture?   If so, there might be a clue there.  Also does anyone remember any place your "odd" behavior your grandfather might have had that was associated with a particular part of the property?

I was way to young to see these particular attitude of him. He was a big fan of reading. As I know he read about 1000 books Smiley but never heard about a favorite one. About the furniture, no....nothing special
