Wow!  Yer all a friendly bunch, arnt ya?!  Thanks for the great welcome.

Casca, I'll warn you sometime when I head toward LC.  I have been approached by some claim owners in the Caballos and am poking around reading all the stories to become familiar with past and present production/doings.  I believe you may be right - people up there shoot first and ask questions after.  We need to meet the new owners at Copper Flat (Hillsboro) and make sure we keep the prospecting alive there.  I have some claims there across the road and would hate to see them get stingy with their holdings.

Your claims wouldn't happen to be in the Wicks Gulch area?

Yep Homefire, got a couple down Wicks and in some of the surrounging gulches.  Know most of the folks down there too so have lots of access.  However, most of the historical producing ground lies within the Mercator/Themac properties.  If we all play our cards right, we might be able to retain small scale dry washing/nugget shooting on their land holdings without affecting their increasing activity on the Copper Flat porphery.
