Yea, I was going to say if it is claimed it may be able to be worked just buy asking. I've done that a hundred times. Only been told to stay out a few times.

Check out this program. It uses gOOgle Earth in conjuntion with BLM records.
It can tell you the Claim Name, Owner, Contacts and a bit more.
All info is at lease a month old but it still helps.
