I got relative in Richmond. My mom was from Petersburg. I grew up in Southampton County. Near Franklin and Courtland. I lived in Richmond for 5 years. Both North and South side.

You are down in ECU area correct? Nice part of NC. I went to Elon and used to go to ECU to party, Beale.

Beale. Thanks again for your response. Through all my searching and checking and without spending a fortune I think I'm leaning toward a Vaquero or a Deleon, like u said lifetime warranty. They both have water abilities but not submerged right.

As with most commercial detectors, the coils are waterproof but the electronics won't even survive a splashing. Be careful.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Well I had a Vaquero. It is a very deep hitter. I found afew very deep coins with it. For my type of hunting though It was not getting used. Like was said great relic hunter, not the very best in a school or park. I bought the DeLeon because of how I hunt. My X-Terra is a sweet unit and i really like it. I also Liked what I was reading about the DeLeon. Very easy to use decent depth. It does have a pre set ground balance but I am not to worried about that. I wanted a backup and a good coin hunter, Beale.
