New member from Oregon.

Hi folks. I just signed up here and hope with your help to learn a lot and have a few laughs. more importantly find some gold. So far I've not been lucky at all but I'll put out a big effort this spring and summer.
What kind of gold detector should I be using in SW Oregon?

    If you use the search function at the top right and search the entire forum for "best detector" you will find out why homefire's comment REALLY is the sum of all the best advice on the subject.  BUT you will also find a whole list of things to consider when purchasing a detector which will help you get the best detector for YOU.  (Like I like to say "asking what the best metal detector is is a lot like asking what the best vehicle or the best camera is")
