A quick Hello from a newbie in Northern RHODE ISLAND. I have been an antiques dealer for 20 years. I know antiques well but as a metal detector hunter I suck. I own a bounty hunter 2200, seems to work well but I never find anything too valuble. There's always the time factor but I never have much luck finding a good place where there's good stuff buried.

Hi fishnman917 and let me be the first to welcome you. Research seems to be the key to finding a good old productive spot - hang in there as you never know what lies ahead. Sue in Kansas

Welcome from New Mexico.

You should be able to find some older places to hunt up there.

Yep!   This is the time for Google Earth looking for OLD parks and Open Grounds.

Pull up some historic maps of your area and see what can be found.
