Hello everybody!

I found and joined this board while doing an online search. I am new here and to metal detecting, I am 59 years old and as you can see from the title I am in south western Pennsylvania where the weather is finally getting warmer. I bought a Bounty Hunter Platinum and a Teknetics Delta about a month ago (which I got for the wife to use) and found a nice used Whites XLT 2 weeks ago which I am getting to know better. BTW, I would welcome any tips regarding the XLT!  So far I am really enjoying this new hobby even though we haven't had any fantastic finds. We were out for a couple hours today and found a total of 3 dimes and 3 pennies in a tot lot not far from my home.

Best regards,
Bob

Welcome from Arizona.   Glad you decided to join us.   You should find plenty of tips for your XLT on the white's board (look at our main page and scroll down until you find the correct section).

Hi Bob. Welcome from Connecticut. What area of WPa? Used to detect in Washington, Greene, Fayette, Allegheny counties. Those detectors will keep ya busy. The XLT has a bit of a learning curve. The more your use it the better you will get. Good luck.

Thanks to all of you for the welcome...

Hi Mudflap, I'm in Beaver County. About 20 miles from Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.
