Hi!
My name is Fred. I am a fulltime RVers whose hobby is metal detecting. Our home base is in Illinois about 70 miles west of Chicago but right now I'm in chilly Florida.
We're heading toward Pensacola in February and I hope to check out some of the public beaches in the area.
I just bought a used Garrett Sea Hunter XL500 pulse and a Garrett Grandmaster Hunter CXII. I also own a White QXT Pro.
I am not very familiar with the Garretts so I'm hoping to learn lots from you veterans.

Welcome...If you go over to Alabama, then you might want to skip Dauphin Island...They told me awhile back that metal detecting is not allowed on the Island --period!!!!!!!!! And I used to love detecting down there...More and more places get closed to detecting each and every year......BOO TO THE POWERS THAT BE FOR THAT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!
