Ahhh..Bitburg Germany. I was stationed in Karlsruhe and Nurnberg Germany. I've been to Bitburg and my favorite German beer (my favorite out of the brands I can get here in the US) is Bitburger. Bitte Ein Bit!

Neat that you've explored and found artifacts. Meramec Cavern - that's the one I was thinking of. I googled your area after I posted. Nice scenic area to detect. Jesse James Museum - that's cool - he's been discussed quite a bit on this site. Sue

I have a good indian artifact collection. I watched a show last night on the History channel aobut Jessie James hidden treasures. It got me to looking around on the internet and I came across this site and joined. Jesse was much more active in the western part of Missouri where he lived. Meramec Caverns has always maintained that his gang hid treasures (which were supposedly found by early the early cave owners) but I always wondered if it was really true or not.

Hello Ken and Aaron,

Welcome to the boards.   Seldom lives north of the Texas Riviera  Cheesy..........actually Galveston Island is the bottle neck that keeps hurricanes from wiping Houston, Texas off of the face of the earth.

BA

After 8 ft of water in my house after IKE think seldoms headed north of Houston soon.

I use to work the beach about 300 days a year but now spend several months a year at the Texas Riviera  as BA calls it, and with other projects going on I don't get to the beach much.

I had always heard that you can find artifacts from old shipwrecks on the beaches that wash up from time to time after storms. You ever find anything like that?

i am relatively new to the fun metal detecting, but looking forward to hitting the sc coast soon. all the drunks that stumble around along the beach there, should be great hunting outside the beach bars.
