I am a School teacher on medical leave this year. I am looking to find someone to detect with here in Kentucky. I am just starting so I dont know a whole lot but I am reading a lot and detecting a lot so I am learning. I have a minelab safari at this time. I am thinking of trading to the SE Pro but haven't made a decision yet. If you want to get out and go detecting sometime give me a holler.

Thanks all just an update I did buy th SE pro. I am still learning it. I think I am gonna like it. I would like to buy a Soverign GT for back up. if u got one reasonable give me a shout, Thanks to the warm welcome

Welcome Mitch!, i don't know much about the souvern? but i do have an explorer xs as my main detector and it is a great all around detector. i know someone who uses a souvern to relic hunt and i have watched videos of people beach hunting with them. good luck with whatever kind of hunting you choose, and most of all have fun!
