I use a Garret gold stinger, the area where I hunt is highly mineralised, so it throws my detedtor off alot, any one got any tips on how to balance it out, or what mode is best to operate. I just got it a couple of weeks ago and have read the manual and still think that someone who is familiar with that model could help......thanks a bunch

Welcome aboard! Your Goldstinger is allready a good bet to deal with the highly mineralized soil. To make it less noisy you will first of all need to set the ground balance correct. Also turning down the sensitivity is recommended to make it more stable in heavily mineralized soil.
