Bounty Hunter Quicksilver

Just got my first MD, Not a real good one but by all means it works.  Just got a Bounty Hunter Quicksilver as a gift.  My 4 yr old son and i went to the park with it and found a penny and a washer after 10 min of MDing.  Only had about 20 mins to look around.  But hey i know it works at least, it was about 4-6in deep.  Im considering taking the bounty hunter back and getting a good model... maybe a whites or garret or something.. look forward to meeting new people and learning all i can about treasure hunting!

Hey, kilo, welcome from Arizona.   Lot's of our members have started out with worse detectors....On the other hand I sure wouldn't want to talk you out of upgrading if it is in your budget.   In addition to the Garretts  and Whites, you might want to look at the Fishers and Teknetics.   Don't let the fact that they are made by the same folks as make the Bounty Hunter prejudice you against them.  Fishers are especially good and the Teknetics are building a rep too.   (And if you don't mind a detector that doesn't have a fancy read-out, it is really hard to beat a Tesoro for reliability and performance---not to mention they have the best warranty out there).

Welcome from New Mexico.   Don't be raging that bounty hunter.

There a good little detector.
