Just found this site, on computer trying to learn about metal detecting for a beginner. any advice for a beginner about which deter would be a good place to start with? My goals are to treasure hunt not only for coins rings ect ect, but think I would like to travel a bit gold hunting. all in doing so with just a hobbie in mind.

Hi doxxielady, welcome to the forum and metal detecting. Any major brand detector around $300 or more should be fine. Sue
