Teri - Don't believe all you hear about the JJ treasure's most are just legends, I am sure there is some truth to it, just not sure how much,  Either way it should not Deter u from going out and MD'ing your land Who knows you may find buried treasure , it just may not be JJ's .

Remember back in grade school when the teacher would line up all the kids and start a sentence at one end of the line and when it got to the other end it was totally different than what it started out to be.
That's the way I look at the JJ Legends, u r going to have to do Lots and Lots of research to find out the real truth to the stories about your Land and whether or not JJ was there. But to me that's part of the fun is doing the research!! it's amazing what you can find out about the property U own.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting !!

Hi Teri.....listen to Karl.   You don't need to be on a false Jesse James trail to turn up lots of stuff worth turning up.  (besides, if everyone is looking for Jesse James treasure, that leads more of the other loot for you to find  Wink )

Teri - a small bit of advice is to get u some snake handling tools , u know the long handle clamp tool and the snake pole or a good pistol with snake shot in it. Caves are great places for snakes and bob cats etc. to hang out. and a snake bite kit just in case,
Just be Carefull and Most of All have fun and Enjoy your time with your Son ! They grow up way to quick!  Wink

I carry a small revolver with every other round is snake shot / rat shot what ever they call it now adays.
That way i can get the snakes and anything else that comes in my direction.
as we have bobcats, rattlers, skunks, possums, coyotes, racoons etc.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting !!

cool yeah i have a couple of trail cams also, Love them things , thats how we know whats back there also.
We have a Moma Bobcat comes back every spring and has her kittens in a little cave on the side of Kritter Hill in our back yard, they are fun to watch, I set the cam up in video mode just before she moves back in to have her kittens, bad thing this year is the cold is zapping the heck out of the batteries.

oh i love those cams. We stopped all hunting on our land. Have the forest service coming in the spring to ck out the trees and see if we have good habitat for animals and let us know what we can harvest in trees.
