I changed my mind about wanting to be a member of this forum when I found out that I've got to make 5 posts before I could watch circuit diagrams etc and be a "full member".

I'm quite new to this metal detector thing and have nothing to contribute with yet. I must study and build one first but I'm not allowed to download information. Kind of a "Moment 22" situation.

Silly rule, so I'm out. I have asked "someone admin" to remove my id etc...

Many, many, many holes with trash in them will be dug in this hobby.  Do what you think is best for you.  I will say that if you can not make it to five post this hobby may not be for you, five post are easy, digging one hundred holes for a few pennies is much harder.  You have two post already half way there, why not stay and meet some great people.

5 posts are nothing compared to what you'll get in return. An unbelievable amount of info. You want to find out how to build your own machine, this is the place. I'm not handy, but they got me thinking I could build one. Besides info your missing out on a lot of friendships, people who are willing to share their knowledge and finds. 5 posts are too dificult?, most of us probably did it within 24 hours. The creators of this site ask very little with asking you to make 5 posts. They could have asked for a membership fee. Like trashdigger said if you don't have the patience to submit 5 posts, you don't have the patience to hunt.It took me 4 years to find my first gold ring. If I had your additude my detector would have been collecting dust long ago. I don't know if your still looking at this forum, I just want yo say.IT'S YOUR LOSS!!

Five posts is so easy, most people have no problem making it just by being polite.   Heck you could have picked a couple real quick just by reading some of the previous posts in the DYI or Tech Talk boards and asking a question about a point you weren't sure about.   That would have efficiently killed two birds with one stone (three if you added increasing your ability to evaluate the projects before you downloaded all the schemas).   

Well, at least you were up front about only be interested in what you can take--that's more than can be said about some folks.
