Hello to all. Just joined the forum and thought I would say HI. My name is Hollis and I have been detecting about 40 years. When you get old, like me, detecting gives you all the exercise you can stand. I love dirt, beach and relic hunting. Have had right much success over the years. It never gets old to me. I get just as excited finding "treasure" today as I did when I started. Looking forward to sharing my finds and exchanging information with all of you. Happy hunting!! Smiley

Not to oversimplify, but if it is in the ground I am hunting for it. Last week I found 30 Civil War bullets, two Mercury dimes, a 1841 half dime and a Virginia state Civil War button. I am retired, so I hunt almost every day that the weather is nice and I don't have too many "honey do's"  .

Sure. Here are a few of my recent finds. Don't want to wear out my welcome, so soon. I could post more pictures than you would probably want to see. I will post my favorite find, later. It is a 1862 Civil War dog tag that I found in Suffolk. Till then. Here are a few.
