Minelab Explorer XS

I have been detecting since 1975, but have just recently reintroduced myself to the hobby. Kids, grandkids, job, etc. have kept me from being active, so now that I have some time(recently laid off) I have decided to spend a little time swinging my Minelab Explorer once again. I live near Raleigh, NC, and have plenty of places to try out.
I have enjoyed reading the forums for the past two months, so I figured it was time to jump in and say hello. My former metal detecting buddy(he now has heart trouble and no longer detects) told me about this site. Man, some of you find some NICE stuff! Well, gotta' run and get some AA batteries...............

Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear about your detecting buddy! Maybe you can find a new one through the internet? Personally I think that it is just so much more fun to do some detecting together or in a group.

Better get some AA batteries quick and show us some of your upcoming finds Wink
