New to metal detecting and looking for others in the Philadelphia area who enjoy the hobby.  It appears there are no clubs/groups advertising for members close by.  Am I right about this?

Hi Phillygirl,
  I'm new to the forum too.
 I'd sure love to be able to detect in philadelphia, everything is so much older there.
I live in Oregon, it's pretty hard to find anything older than late 1800's.
  I still find my share of cool things though.
 How long have you been detecting?
