Hi all,
I have been detecting on and off for several years but for the last two years I have really got the bug. I detect on mainly farms but have recently tried beach detecting with some good results.
To get to better sites than I have locally I attend organised digs put on by a couple of the Scottish clubs, Detecting Scotland and Toddy's Digs.
These are always great days out and you get to meet like minded people and pick up a lot of good detecting tips.
I have recently upgraded from the E-trac to the CTX 3030 and I am loving this machine. I have a few issues with iron falsing but I think that is because I was running the machine too hot.
My find rate is up, even if most of the stuff is crap, and I am locating smaller deep targets.
I love just getting out, Me my Jack Russel (Stella), Detector with the headphones on and just listening for that good signal.
Probably the best way to unwind that I know.
Regards to all
Roger

Hello Roger, and Welcome from Utah! One of my good friends owns a Jack Russell, they're great dogs. Hyper as anything though. That little tail of hers never stops moving - almost like hummingbird wings!  Grin

Glad to have you aboard - please feel free to post your finds on the 'todays finds' thread and include a few pictures as well!

Howdy from Alberta Canada Smiley

We considered getting a Jack Russel years ago, but when my daughter was small she wanted a Pug after watching Milo and Otis.  Smiley

Good luck with your hunts Smiley

Roger and Stella, welcome to THunting.com.   It is good to have you hear.  We are all looking forward to seeing your finds---we need something to balance out the finds coming from the English---just to remind us that there's more to the history of the United Kingdom than just what happened south of Hadrian's wall.

Jack Russel's are Characters for sure.

Never had one but had friends that have.

Them Rascals are so Hyper you better be a Marathon Runner, Olympic Rat chaser or have the know how to keep one.

One of three people found the Balance.

They would take him out and let him chase Rabets that was just a bit faster then him.

They could turn faster.

He would only get one out of 20 but the bugger did his thing.

Later as he got older , he was happey with the Normal Steak and Bean in his bowl.
