Hi everyone . Just wanted to say hello and thanks for what seems like a great detecting forum . I'm looking forward to reading the finds and techniques in the posts . I'm from Butler , Pa . just north of Pittsburgh . I've been detecting off and on since 1996 . I have a 7yr old daughter I'm trying to introduce to the hobby , but the attention span still needs some work . LOL

Thanks homefire . Your absolutely right . I treasure ( no pun intended ) every moment I possibly can . Friends & family will atest she's had daddy wrapped around her pinky since day 1 . I try my best to set a good example and introduce her to all the wonderful things life has to offer . Detecting of course being one of many .

Mudflap , I'll be going right by there this week on my way to do some beach hunting along Lake Erie off Presque Isle . Little girl loves water . So I can detect while she plays .... Grin

Back in the early 70s the local WPa Whites distributor, Bob Brockett was going to do some ship wreck work around Presque isle. I don't remember how it worked out though.

B.A. I haven't gone away or got lost. It is just so hot and wet here in west central Florida I'm stuck in-doors most days...Can't wait for the heat to break so I can get out and detect some more.
