Just got my first metal detector today, so I am very excited. I couldn't wait to use it so I went in my yard and used it for 5 minutes and found a metal tag for a Don Juan Climbing Rose Bush!! Lame, but I'll treasure it as my first find!

Welcome aboard from morgan, utah... awesome find!!! don't get discouraged by the pull tab and such...research your local history and seek out those areas, and you'd be surprised at what you find....good luck, and keep us all posted

Thanks! Used it a couple more times in my yard just to get the hang of it. I found some nails, a metal bracket, and a nickel that was from 2001 and I've lived there since 2000, so it's probably mine anyways.
