Hi just a short hello from Bradenton Florida!  Recently got the older version of the Minelab Excaliber 1000, still way behind on the learning curve. Basically got boored with hunting vertabrate and invertebrate (murex shells mainly) fossils around Florida off and on the last 20 years, and always wanted to give this a try. I have a loving and drooling Bloodhound and my honey has about 20 dogs, cats, snakes, lizards (lots of iguana's) and other misc beasts. The site looks great and I hope I can add some goodinfo and photos to it.

Andy

Thanks to both of you for the welcome. As far as photos I will attach some and see how they come out. When I decided to start metal detecting my first goal was to eventully to find enough stuff to pay for my gas, and the next step was to help pay for the critter food. Its a sad thing down here in Florida that so many pets get abandoned by there owners. So me and my honey have a zoo and we try and find good homes for the ones we catch and tame.

Will post goodies as they show up. I have tried to send a photo ot two but it seems I have run into a size issue, so tomorrow I will try and do some croping to  make some stuff work.
Andy

Hello from Minnesota! Nice work you and yours do with the animals!
We've gotten our 2 dogs from a local No-Kill animal shelter. They need a little more work & TLC, but they are worth it!
Happy hunting!
