Hi Folks, name here is Mike, thought I'd say hi to all. Sure hope this is an active forum, ever since I've moved out here to Illinois it's been rather boring when it comes to metaldetecting/prospecting. Back in my home state of New Mexico it's anything BUT boring, lots to see and do, and LOTs of places to go. I was hoping the Springfield area would be a historical goldmine for a relic hunter, but so far it's been a little dry, so much new construction popping up everywhere, but I guess I'll have to get out more and use my 49er, eh? If anyone knows of a few great spots drop me a line, friendly notes are always welcome.
