I am new to the thunting.com forum but have been a member of the Friendly Metal Detecting for a few years and look forward to learning from your members. I currently use a Fisher F2 but plan on upgrading when my taxes come back, if we ever get to file them.

I see you also have the ace 250. How do the 2 machines compare?

Fisher F2 and Garrett ACE 250

I prefer the Fisher F2 over the Garrett Ace 250 due to having some hearing loss, and I can distinguish the F2's tones better. I believe that the F2 and the Ace 250 are very equal units as far as finding things. I am planning on purchasing a Garrett AT Pro for my birthday next month after much reviews and studying its characteristics.
