I live in the Northwest burbs of Chicago.  New Mexico huh, you find any buried treasures or guns out there??  Only been out a few times, nothing but eroded and dirty newer coins and alot of pull tabs and tops, and etc...  I found 2 pieces  of  jewlery, but nothin precious, one comes up under iron on my ace and the other is between silver and gold.  Nickel I am guessing.  Don't know.  My exciting find was 6 pieces of aluminum melted down and smoothed out from the sand and the waves.  I thought it was silver ore or something, felt too light.  Has to be aluminum.  Thanks for the welcome HomeFire and good luck huntin!!!!

Hello and  Welcome from NC. I have an ACE 250 also. Got it in Jan.
Keep swinging it and listen to what its telling you. Sooner or later you will
need a sniper coil in heavy trash areas. It is a great little coil. Also there is
plenty of information here on pinpointing if tou need it.In the mean time

keep  Detecting  mate. ARR!

Thanks all for the warm welcome   Really appreciate the positive thoughts and kind gestures!!!!!  I definitely will need that coil sooner lol, alot of rubbish in the ground around this city lol.  How do you like the 250 Gary??  I  find that  I am hit or miss with pinpointer.  Sometimes I get it easy like the video and other times the lawn looks like there were grubs and the animals tore it up lol.  Its gonna take me some time to master that lol.

Bearkillaz.
Check the forums for questions about the ace 250 Pinpointing. I did this a lot
a few months ago. I got a lot of answers and sugestions on the subject. I was hopping all over
checking on this problem. One sight is " Treasurequestmetaldetectoringforum "
Another place is Youtube. Justr type in , Pinpointing the ACE 250. It will bring
up videos on the subject. You will find somthing that works for you. If not pull
on my sword and i have a few other things that may help. ARR! mate
