Well, basically you should not run into any legal problems when detecting on a public beach. As far as the finds go, you can not tell until you have done some detecting there Smiley

Hi & Welcome - I used to live there, but that was, unfortunately, before I had a metal detector. I'd think the beaches would be loaded with goodies. I used to notice all the gold jewelry the Brazilians wore while at the beach - surely they lost some of it. Happy beeping! Sue
