Have just gotten into the hobby and am looking forward to future hunts. Live close to Delaware beaches so plan on doing a lot of hunting in those areas. Am planning a visit for about a month to San Antonio, TX. If any member would have any suggestions about that area, they would be greatly appreciated!

First welcome from Arizona. Second if you are going to detect in San Antonio, unless you are planning on detecting on private property, you need to know the following:
1) State Parks are off limits.
2) Some City Parks are off limits. For the rest you need a permit (free). Details can be obtained here :
