Hi all,
Stumbled on this place searching for info, awesome site!
My name is dean and I am located in the willamette valley here in rainy oregon.
I finally got ahold of a detector and been having a bit of fun with it and looking forward to a bunch more.
Reading the posts about current finds really gets me wound up and ready to go.
If anyone in the albany/halsey area would like to get together for some detecting/tip sharing I would be ready and willing. just give a shout

I don't know any of the grants pass group, a bit far from me.

As for what I hunt, have been panning etc for awhile now and recently got into the metal detecting, I will probably be concentrating on coinage/jewelry type stuff but also researching some historic areas to detect at. ie...old homesteads, old logging bunk houses etc....

So far haven't found anything that is outstanding, usual coins and some not very old foreign coins on a local college campus.
