It's a cold day today.  A little above the freezing mark and very wet.  The area can be interesting at times, to say the least.  Especially in the summer with all of the seasonal lake goers in the area.  Should make for some ideal md'ing.  Galveston is always one of our getaway destinations, glad to hear it's coming along after the hurricane.

Howdy Mballard.   Welcome to the forum from a Texan living in exile in Arizona.    Hope you enjoy the hobby and the website.   There are a lot of really good people here....and there's a wealth of knowledge to be gained---if you'll read and apply what you read.

Welcome, there are automatic ground balance detectors, pre-set ground balance detectors, and manually ground balanced detectors...if you are new to detecting, then I'd get one of the automatic or pre-set ground balance types. It'll be a whole lot easier to use.
