Hello all...

I share the sentiments w/ many of you...weather...uhg! I am new to this. I purchased an MPX and w/in a week sent it back because it was possessed. I now have a Fisher F4 and manged to find a 1940 wheatie w/in 5 minutes of farting around in the front yard. The weather has not been too helpful. Any ideas on getting permission to hunt in VA? The state does not seem to look favorably on detecting.

Hi Daddyriggins and welcome!

Here is a site that might help. It is municipal codes for cities in the US. You can select the state and a list of cities will appear. Then put metal detecting in the search box. Generally, though, avoid federal land, historic areas, get permission on private property. Sue
