Been detecting for anout 30 years. Never so much as in the past 5 years. Found some change and an old cross  with pearls yesterday. It's soaking in vinegar today.

About a year ago, I found a gold medallion with 13 diamonds. It isd 14K and is heavy. You can see the "pouring and cooling" of the gold on the reverse.

I try to figure that out in the near future. It is a beauty, though!

Hi neighbor. Does that medallion have anything to do with the 1715 fleet?

I don't believe so. It's a bust of a Pharoah with a pyramid behind it.
Thanks for the welcome. I lived in Kingman when I was a teenager in 1958. Any gold around that part of the state?
I noticed your name in shopping. It was in a category of "richest members" and referred to gold. What does that category mean?

Thanks. Are your finds mostly from the Utah area? Ever hunt any of the beaches in Florida?

Oatman, south of Kingman, is one of my favorite areas.  My wife and I have also done some exploring around some of the old mining communities between Kingman and Hoover Dam.

I've never taken my m/d with me - just in the car around here in Utah is all. I hope to get more finds this summer.
