 Here a nice 24 pound cannon ball found around Quebec citylast summer. Some lead balls some shells and shrapnell all in good shape.I put my web site it,s in french put you can post in english and there a lot of picture bye Montcalm Hope the picture work ... Funny Funny

Hi my name is Kansas Boy and I was looking at your finds and would like you to look back on a post of mine about and object I found made out of brass. I found it in an area that was a part of fighting around Kennesaw Mt. in Ga.When I looked at this picture of the cannon balls and other finds it looked alot like one of your pieces.

I wonder if that's some kind of breech plug for an old cannon, what is it made of ??

With it being threaded I would look up breech plugs or assemblies for cannons on the interweb and see what u come up with.
