Hi All,

Stumbled across your forum while doing some research, liked what I saw and the rest, as they say, is history.  I'm totally new to the hobby (as in a few weeks new) so will be reading mostly but hopefully posting about my 'treasures' in the future - watch this space.

I am a Brit residing in Bermuda for work and I got the Garrett AT Pro International which seems to be just the job since I hope to be mostly be hunting the beaches / shallow surf (once I have my permit) but has impressed so far on terra firma.

Looking forward to reading and learning here.

You intrigued me to search Bermuda on Google earth.
From above looks like a holiday resort, Sandy beaches every where you look. And every place called …something Bay.

Nickel, yes, apx. 22 sqm of volcanic rock stuck out in the Atlantic so plenty of beaches and bays - hopefully lots to detect there also.

Welcome from Arizona.   

Excellent choice in detectors for your present circumstance.   You should get quite a few years of enjoyment out it (either that or you'll get so bitten by the bug once you've found some really nice finds that you'll start wondering what sort of results you can get from an even more expensive detector and "upgrade".  If you go that route make sure you hang on to the AT as a back up).
