ACE 350

Greetings everyone!

New MD'er from southern Utah here!

After many years of exploring the remote desert and back country around here (dual sport rider), I have decided it is time to see what this hobby is all about!

I don't have much more to say yet, but I have an ACE 350 that is out for delivery today, a spot on my enduro to mount it, and some beautiful weather expected for a while, huzzah!

This forum seems like it is full of amazing information, I am glad to have it as a resource!

I'm up in Northern Utah. Hope you have some good luck with that Ace 350, I just got mine a week ago too!
I'm planning to mostly hit the parks with it and really haven't given it much thought beyond that.

Wow, quite a diversified group of people here!

As soon as my package was delivered I ran home for "lunch" and proceeded to put the Ace 350 together, skim through the manual, and start doing some swinging around my house to get a a little familiarity with the unit, was expecting to be digging mostly trash, but first hole had a penny in it, and i managed to pinpoint it relatively well even! It was pretty eroded though and I cannot really identify the year.

Come home after work and swing some more, found lots of clad, couple nails, a bolt, some kind of lead bullet, fun!

I guess the oldest date I have been able to identify was a 1963 dime.

Some of them are eroded to the point that I can't really gather any information from them, I am guessing that is pretty common when they have been in the ground for who knows how long Detecting

Already having tons of fun, can't wait to get some more swinging in!
