Looking forward to my first metal detector and doing some hunting in Ontario.

Anyone in Ontario that might know the rules and places to go - please pass it on. Thanks

I've been doing research and found a lot of good info, but it mostly consists of long drive north and it seems to involve a permit if you want to search for gold and gems in Ontario. Especially if you want to sell it for profit. Hmmm.. that sucks.

Kinda worried about claim jumping too. I though any creek would be available to search, but since checking out info, it would be best to get advice from people on the forums since they are active in the hobby.
