hello  fellow metal detector  enthusiast's I just wrote a book on treasure hunting from north to south on the west coast. Have hunted from the canadian border to the mexico border. I hope i can contribute some of my knowledge and hope you don't find all the good stuff i'm looking for LOL.This is becoming one of the fastest growing hobbies in america. Just remember to be responsible and bury all your holes.

hi from kalispell montana. I am going to arizona next month sometime  will be around wickenburg then to prescott and bumblebee maybe will go to quartzite then up north towards the hoover dam. will then go to hurricane utha . then on the way up to saltlake erea then to idaho to look for opels in the lava beds  then north to montana to searcg around bannock area then home.

Welcome from Utah! - note: I saw that you're planning to swing up through Salt Lake.. last night it just snowed another 1/2 inch, so don't get your hopes up of finding anything in the frozen ground unless it's sandy volleyball courts.
