3 things come to mind right off the bat:

1)   You can go to the top of the page, select "COMMUNITY", then select Member List, then Search for Members.  There you will find an option to search by location.

2)   You can scroll down the home page listing of of boards and sub-boards until you get to "PLANET TREASURE".  There you will find a board called "Buddy Directory".   Open a topic there asking for people in your area to contact you

3)    Scroll down a little further to General Discussion by Location, and you'll find a sub-board for Australia.   There's about a page worth of topics already posted there.  I'm sure that if you posted an interesting piece on hunting in Australia, you'd have lots of response (I'm sure you'd still have a bunch of us darn Northern Hemisphere types butting in, but you'll probably draw out a lot of the Australian contingent if they find your topic interesting).

Even better, now that you are a full member, you can add buddies to your list which is empty at the moment. It will help you to sort out who's who here until you get to know everyone. Well, not everyone. We have over 12,000 members but not all of them are current or active. I'd guess we have probably 200 members who are what I would call active and about 60 who are frequent posters.
