Hello, my name is Debbie Leonard of Eldon, Missouri. I am with out doubt, a novice, but very interested in the subject. Love history. I am now spending lots of time hunting arrowheads and artifacts in the area. Just wish that I had been doing it over the past years. I love exploring and seeking things and places.
I grew up listening to a "legend" about Jesse James, who had reportedly been in this area, as he had some relations here. I know of a tree with distinct carvings, or else I believe it is a carving. It may insect or some other natural occurence, but I don't think so. I would like to show to someone, but don't know who. I am looking for Ron Pastore, Roy Roush or Ralph Garis, but cannot find web address. Someone let me know if they can.
Also recorded history or legend of an attack on a wagon train filled with "GOLD" that came through the area. Know the area where attack took place, but have never hunted it.
