 Detecting Thank you, La Grande, and Arizona!!  Been awhile since I've been doing any detecting but about to jump in with both feet.  Fixing to buy a whites gmz after doing a lot of research on the forums and youtube and talking to a Mary there at whites. I think for the money and the way I'm going to use it, it should work well.  Hope to get it this week and give it a work out this week-end.  let you know how  we did.  Good luck to you all and happy hunting

Well, being just a few miles down the road from the factory doesn't hurt any either.   The folks over there in Sweet Home are good bunch.  I'm sure you'll get plenty of use out of the detector.  I know it produces good results down here in the desert, too.

Good day HomeFire, the reason that i'm leaning towards the gmz is that its quite a bit cheaper than the gmt.  It just dosen't have all the the features of the gmt but after talking to one of reps from whites,the gmz goes just as deep as the gmt.   Makes it nice where Whites is only about 40 miles from us.
 Lots of areas around for gold, just have to get with the program lol  !!   good hunting everyone

I know what you mean about the moss,,lol  The other thing is when we think we have a tan,  have to check close and make sure its not rust Grin  yes it is beautiful out here, but so is your great state
