Spring, I have a 250 and I'm considering upgrading. How does the GTI compare to the 250 as far as depth sensitivity and descrimination ability?

Gambol1, the GTI is a real step up from the 250. The 250 is a great little detector. I currently hunt with the 2500. I love it. The one thing I love the most is the Imaging feature. It tells me the size of the target. I'm mainly a coinshooter. So it's really nice to use the Image feature and see if the target is coin size. I don't know how anyone could hunt with anything else. The 2500 features the All Metal Deep Seeking mode. I encourage you to visit a dealer and check it out. I don't know where you're located. If you're anywhere need me I'd be happy to show you all about it.

Spring, I'll take your recomendation and try out a 2500. there is a dealer near me that will let me try it out. He has a big yard that he has seeded with all sorts of "treasure" He lets you hunt around with his machines as much as you want. Thanks again. gambol

Gambol let me know what you think about it. I'm loving mine. If I'd known a couple of years ago about the imaging feature I'd bought one then. I'm sure it's not for everyone. There are lots of good detectors out there. Everyone is different. But it's way cool to me.
