well, it is a little hard for anyone to help you if you aren't going to post pictures or give details.  I suggest you take it to the most honest jeweler in your area.

I think it’s an other one of those great treasures found at 20 feet on grand mum’s cousin’s sister property.
Looking for a buyer.
I wish I am wrong

No such thing as a 28 carat stone, nugget or gold bearing rock but stone?

A 28 carat stone is possible, but not 28K gold.

This reminds me of when I was a little kid. I was digging in my friend's backyard in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. Far from the beach. Anyway, I dug up a tiny round rock and brought it home because I KNEW it was a pearl! I showed it to my father, a pawnbroker, who tried to crush my dreams and told me it was NOT a pearl. I told him "you're not a real pawnbroker!" I knew it was real and there wasn't any person who could convince me otherwise. Well, turns out it was a little round pebble. I guess my dad knew what he was talking about, but once a dreamer always a dreamer!

I sure would like to dig some silver coins. Until then, I guess I'll be happy digging 1930s beer cans!
