Hi everybody, i'm italian. Me and my scottish wife to be   are  living  in Brigthon at the moment, we try to emigrate in Australia, but before this we are going to Bali for 10 day... and i'll bring with me my metal detector garrett 250 --

Indonesia has some tough laws so don't do anything that might get you in trouble.

Australia on the other hand is open to detecting on public lands as long as you do no damage and don't interfere with the use of the land by others. National and State parks are the exception. No detecting there.

The main Bali beaches are usually very busy and pulling out a metal dectector may create more excitement than would be comfortable. It may also attract the interest of local police. You might put your question on this forum site and see what response you get.

I have often thought of beaches in places like Mombasa and Bali but am very wary of the reactions.
