Gold Bug,  Fortune Hunter

Hi, I am new to this site, and just getting back into detecting.  I have an old Gold Bug, and Bounty Hunter, Fortune Hunter.  I went to a local lake today with the Fortune Hunter.  Lots of holes from other detectors, I  Still found a small gold ring with a clear, a blue, and a red stone.  I was using All Metal mode.  It also located a 16th inch long piece of pull tab and some hot sand I am going to pan out.  Seems to work real good for a cheap detector.  I will be taking the Gold Bug to the mountains soon.

I have tried to send this, but dosen't seem to post,  been trying for 45 minutes.

At least u got out and got to enjoy the outdoors for a while, Did u happen to cover up the holes the other detectorist left behind. i know u did not make them but people doing that make a bad name for all of us.

Howdy, hondian.   Welcome to the group.   Too bad we can't sentence a person caught not filling their holes to a day of community service cleaning up after some other ne'er do well.

Glad to have you here.
