I've heard about unit called the GOLDMAXX POWER...I'd like to hear about that unit and others popular in UK. Would they work good in US soils? How do they match up to units made in USA?

In this globalizing world... I'm not sure what detector is made in USA? Goldmaxx should be French? Minelab headquarter is in Australia, but at least one factory in Ireland. Made in USA is probably exactly the same unit made in Ireland for Minelab example. Garrett is definitely made in USA, but I think it works same in USA and UK Smiley

Round About There are two long established detector manufacturers in the UK being 'Viking' & 'C Scope' Vikings top of the range is the VK 40 which is all touch pad & lcd with beach & inland modes at the incredible price of 220 GBP which gives excellent performance at a budget price, C Scope at the moment have a model 'CS3MX' that everyone is raving about & is available for the same price as the VK40, their top of the range model is the Newforce R1 at 470 GBP, All models are veiwable at both the Viking & C Scope sites, enclosed are 3 attachments. happy hunting !

Most popular remains probably the Goldmaxx. The best UK made detector is the Redheat XD17 in my oppinion.

Best wishes,

Christian
