Best guess from those I hear of in the Secessionist movement is that they believe the break will occur along the Red/Blue state voting lines (like...DUH!!!) with the interesting caveat of some states actually splitting themselves like Illinois where the southern agricultural areas have ZERO in common with the area around Chicago. That leaves the US as a divided country with one sliver a like minded folks on the Left coast, the same group of like minded folks along a sliver in the northeast, and a huge chunk of folks with the opposite view in the middle. Unfortunately, I believe it will be a bloody freakin' mess but maybe it is necessary. America was never meant to be the land of the freeloaders and the home of the tyrants.

Couldn't agree more. But the American people are the ones at fault here, IMHO. Too many spend way
too much time caught up in Pro-sports, reality shows & other forms of entertainment they feel important.
No problem enjoying whatever we wish in our leisure time. But not at the expense of not educating ourselves as to the candidates we vote for or their stance & beliefs on political subjects important to each of us. It
doesn't take much work to find out their voting records in the House, Senate or as a Governor. Unfortunately, many listened to a biased media & we were sold an inferior product. By looking at his family,
friends & any of his associates, it wasn't hard to figure out what he was. Didn't most of us grow up hearing,
'You will be judged by the company you keep.' This was obviously ignored during this past election. Cry

I think the problems today aren't so much Dem. or Rep.. I believe it is a battle of the moderates &
conservatives of both parties against a far-left leaning group of liberals that embrace 'socialism.'
Unfortunately, the Dems have been hijacked by these same people & too many vote that same
straight ticket without taking the time to research what that candidate stands for. The Dem. party
is not the same party of my father, they no longer stand for the working class. Instead, they have
become the party of more taxes from us to support & maintain a voter base that they can control,
such as those on gov't. assistance & the expanding illegal alien population. But what happens when
the non-working class exceeds those of us that provide their livliehood thru our taxes ? That is why
'socialism' has never succeeded, anywhere. Sooner or later they run out of other people's money.
I hope the American people wake up soon.

Mudpike, it's more like the apathetic from all ideologies who are at fault for some of the stupid laws which get enacted. When nobody cares enough to look carefully at what lawmakers are doing, dumb laws get passed.

Sadly our Government is being run by many people who are selfish, greedy and have no loyalty to the land that gave them a great measure of freedom. I don't look for much to change here in America on a large scale except the people wake up before it's to late.
If you have children give them good values when they are young. They are the future and need to see in you things that are good and decent.. My hats off to those who won't accept filthy money & political power to the demise of those they are suppose to represent..

Back when the first Bush was elected, he carried 42 states, Then he screwed up. A 50 cent piece will more than cover the differences between the 2 crooked parties.
