Found this Sunday in the Quebec (city) area. Posted it on 2 forums and can not get it identified.

{alt}

It is NOT a badge as it is stamped like sheetmetal. Greying in colour, it does not look like copper. Very light, as if it were made from thin sheet metal, maybe. I can not find how it attached (no sign of a pin in the back).

I know it is probably recent but can not find anything about it anyway. Your guess is as good as mine.

I made the "toothbrush test" meaning I used an old electric toothbrush and toothpaste, 3 times and nothing changed in the colour. Still the same grey.

I don't know how I missed the single reply I had on this one but since then, I had a canadian army historian identify the badge as being that of a WWII canadian army Major

Jocelyn s. That crown is the crown from Edward VII 1901 - 1910 to George VI 1936 - 1952
so that would also include George V 1910 - 1952 and Edward  VIII who Abdecated Jan to Dec 1936.

I hope this helps,

AU
