This is a pic of some of my arrowhead buds standing at a sifter going through some material.
We found a total of 8 points that day.
The second picture is of the property owner using a backhoe/loader to bring up some soil.

Just decided to pull up some old pics and show some people how we dig for arrowheads here in Texas, when we have a dig party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a site on "Fallcreek" near Granbury Texas.

In Alabama, theyd sic the law on us for digging and sifting for arrow heads and confiscate all artifacts found. They'd probably put us in jail and fine the hell out of us...those damned antiquities laws and all and the archaeologists who love to cause trouble for detectorists and Indian artifact hunters.

Not only on private property but his house is sitting on the main part of the site.
We find points nearly every time it rains, right in back of his house.
He has gone to the trouble of scraping a large area bare just for that purpose.
By the way he has a very good collection of artifacts his place has yielded.
The age of the site ranges from Arachic to the 1800's.
The next time I'm down there I'll see if I can get some pictures to share.
