Go Up Go Down

While I was hitting an area where the home was taken down for a new housing project I notice the barn and pump house was still standing?Huh??
Ivan and I took a look and the barn still contained some "stuff" and was surely not to be trusted to enter. Posted "Danger". We did not enter but took a look. Yeah it was ready to come down. The owner wanted to salvage some of the wood, for a resturant.
I could see that, distressed wood does have a market.
We looked in the pump house and the pump was still there.
Solid Brass "Huge" piece of metal there.
I detected around one side while Ivan hit it frome the other side. Nothing!
I did manage to look up on the back of the building and wow there was this old store front thermometer hanging there painted over white. The thermometer was still in good condition and I was given permisson to take it if I wanted it.
You damn right I wanted it. The paint was difficult to remove and while I was trying to clean it up the image slowly became evident and I was destroying it. I stopped my cleaning efforts and have since had it on my wall at home.
It does work and I trust it to keep me posted as to: weather cold or weather hot Pepsi cola hits the spot. This is the latent image that became apparent while I tried in vain to clean it. There is an image of a woman holding a straw "The glass part" drinking her Pepsi.

I had a lovely bronze thermometer that came of a steam engine but someone zapped it while I was still living on the farm. I had forgotten about it till I saw yours.
