I am building a PI metal detector as a weekend project and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good reference materials?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

The cost really depends on where you are and how much components cost. Also, making the PC board can be an expense.

There's no way to set a price but there are kits available that run between $60.00 and $400.00. Do a Google search on metal detector kits.
