Hello,
We are producing a new archaeology show on Discovery Channel and I would like to talk with some privy/garbage diggers or any others who've found something special that they'd like to share with us.
Please give me a call or drop me a line.

My best,
Zach Sebastian

Welcome from Australia.

If this is a serious offer (I suspect it is), then I salute you for your inclusiveness in asking for amateur help for your show. Quite often detectorists and dump searchers are vilified by the archaeological shows on TV as being less than honorable in the field. Most of the people you see posting here on these forums are quite helpful when they find a historic site. They're a good bunch and I'm proud to call them friends.

Good luck with your recruitment. Use the search feature at the top right of every page to search for the terms that will help you find your new TV stars. Then send them a PM (private message) even if they appear to be inactive. A PM still goes to their mailbox at home or office.

It's all about that magical moment of discovery when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
